In Ottawa refurbishment work to a 22 storey high, 4 basement level parking and 422 apartment complex close to downtown included getting involved in obtaining the re-development certificate from the City of Ottawa.

in Moscow new commercial projects totalling (US S145.0 m) which entailednegotiation of own written international Management Fee Contract, as approved by the EBRD in London , UK, with international contractors from Poland, Danemark and Ireland.

Consultants
Preparation of budgets (cost plans) from concept drawings, cost monitoring and advice, Value Engineering and close cost checking throughout the evolution of design process, and offering alternatives to optimise costs.
Monthly reporting about work progress including valuation of variations and forecasting costs to complete and preparation of final accounts. Site visits to evaluate work progress and reporting to Owner and / or financial institutions. If so mandated, Contract negotiation with General Contractors and Subtrades and advising professionals accordingly.

Preparation of Tenders; budgeting and cost-control of multi million dollar projects during design stage; providing cost advice to professionals to stay on budget course and converting elemental format of estimates to trade divisions for construction.

OTHER ACHIEVEMENTS & INVOLMENTS

Developed an Excel based software for Elemental Cost estimating during design period for more efficient cost advice todesigners and a rapid response to and estimate of the evolving project cost during the design period. This estimate canbe converted with reasonable ease to trade format towards the end of the pre-contract period for bidding purposes.

The versality of this software allows for estimating in any formats required by the clients such as by location, by function etc..

Wrote an innovative International Management Fee Contract based on FIDIC to allow for fast-track approach to international contracts.

Appointed as one of the three panel members of an Arbitration tribunal, by the Québec Ministry Of Health, Canada

Appointed as expert witness in a Mediation case in Toronto, while employed by Construction Consultancy Services, for the roof replacement cost (worth $15.0m) of Terminal T3 of the Pearson International Airport in Toronto, Canada.
